About this tour
Visakhapatnam sits on the Andhra coast, where the Eastern Ghats come down almost to the Bay of Bengal. Ramakrishna Beach runs along the city front, and Kailasagiri is the hill park above it.
Araku Valley lies about 115 km inland at roughly 900 metres, reached by a rail line that climbs through tunnels and coffee slopes. The Borra Caves, on the way up, are limestone caverns formed by the Gosthani river.
